| Tonight's dinner....khinkali (aka the Georgian dumpling) |
I'd been in Gori a scant 24 hours before I received my first dinner invitation. Our destination? Khinkali House. The khinkali is the Georgian version of the dumpling (think perogi or gyoza....kinda). We had khinkali filled with meat, filled with cheese, filled with mushroom, and filled with mashed potatoes. All-in-all....quite delish.
And for those who are curious about my living situation, here are a few pics I took upon arrival tonight after my khinkali feast....
