It's so nice to be back in Reno. Last night for dinner, I went over to my friend S's house and she made (baked) empanadas. They were good. So good, in fact, that I'm eating cold ones right now for breakfast (I earned them, though, because I did go on a bike ride earlier). Empanadas are a lot like meat pies (pasties) but smaller and spicier. They're terrific. I love meat pies. I'm going to have to get the recipe for the dough and try making the things myself. Mmm-mmm....meat pies.

We do that also in QUEBEC call somtime paté chinois ( the reason this name put corn )
