An Elementary School in Kosovo

I woke up earlier than normal so that I could head over to one of the local elementary schools to observe two of my students getting some teaching practise in. Of course I took a few pictures:
This is the elementary school. No playground, just a concrete square.

Grade 7 students doing in-book exercises.

The students study British English. They're cute to listen to.

This shift of students attend class from 7am-1pm. Afterwards, the second shift comes in from 1-7pm. Because the classrooms are shared, nothing goes up on the (very pepto pink) walls.

The electricity came back on just as class started at 7am. All of the fluorescent bulbs have been swapped out and rewired for old fashioned light bulbs.

The second class I observed had the same pink walls but no coat rack. Students piled their jackets on the window sills.

The teacher's desk.
