More Istanbul....

The Hagia Sophia was inaugurated on February 15, 360.  Over 1600 years later, here it is reflected in a puddle of freshly fallen rain.
Whenever I am in Istanbul, the Sultanahmet Camii (Blue Mosque) is the one place I am compelled to always go.

Built between 1609 and 1616, the inside of the Sultanahmet Camii is truly a sight to behold.

In a completely different part of town lies the Chora Church (aka the Kariye Muzesi, Kariye Camii, or Kariye Kilisesi) . This church contains sublime mosaics and is 100% worth the taxi ride and entrance fee to visit.
