Adjaruli Lobiani


I finally found a place in Gori that does lobiani with spicy peppers. This particular style of "boat lobiani" is the Adjaruli version of the dish. I've also had lobiani in the following forms: fried bread with beans inside; regular bread baked with beans inside; and something more burek-style with beans inside. I like the Adjaruli take on lobiani because it includes spicy peppers. However, in terms of lobiani for lobiani's sake, the place in Kutaisi where I had beer foisted on me with my lobiani purchase the last time I was there is still my favorite (but it would be made better with Tapatio, for sure).
