I'm sitting in the airport in Istanbul right now waiting for my flight to Pristina. My routing took me through Shanghai where I was obliged to go through customs, collect my baggage, and check in with my onward airline. The process was fairly painless, but you know what made it all worthwhile? This stamp.
PS: I just tried to look at my blogsite to double check this post for errors, and this message came up, "Bu siteye erişim mahkeme kararıyla engellenmiştir" which google translated as, "This site has disabled access to the court decision." Strange, eh?

So your blog is banned in Turkey?
you really seem to have been everywhere!
Hi! I saw your stamp after doing a Google search as we have had a huge issue with our China visa. Can I just ask if you were required to get a visa for this stopover in China and what country you are from? Thank you! :)
Hi Nick.... I had a 4-hour stop over in Shanghai and I had to go through passport control before boarding my next flight. It was easy, though. All I had to do was to show my passport (USA) and proof of onward flight. No visa was required. Here's a bit more info if you are interested:
