The first photo is of the Peja Patriarchate, which is located just outside of Peja on the Bistrica River at the head of the Rugova Gorge. I was travelling with an Albanian Kosovo, who was not allowed onto the grounds (the nuns are very particular about who is allowed in and who is not). Before one can enter the complex, documents are submitted to the Italian KFOR soldiers at the checkpoint alongside the Rugova Gorge road. They then call the nuns to see which visitors are allowed in and which are not. In this instance, I could go but my friend could not. I was escorted to the Partriarchate by an Italian soldier because there were stray dogs roaming around and I was a little bit uncomfortable about walking the distance from the KFOR checkpoint to the grounds alone. He did not accompany me into the complex, and all of the churches within the monastic complex were locked, so I was only able to walk around the yard. I didn't see anybody else while I was here.
This second photo is a random photo I took near the Stone Bridge in Prizren while waiting for some people I was meeting for coffee. Positive feelings for Americans are still running high (the flag on the left is an Albanian flag).
Both photos were taken with the Digital Harinezumi Triple +++. I'll start posting more photos and vidpos within the next few days.
