Patience....is a Virtue?

This morning I went to the real estate agent's office and signed the housing contract. On Monday, I can move in. I'm so excited. I hope the place is as nice as I 'remember' it to be (for what's a memory of 10 minutes in a space worth 10 days later?).

Today, I went on a bit of a shopping spree. I bought a futon, foam pad, comforter, hot water kettle, hangers, silverware, a bowl, a frying pan, a pot, a knife, a small lamp, and a bunch of other small household goods (but not nearly everything I'll eventually need like a dish rack or garbage cans). All of which will be delivered to my new pad on Monday some time between 4-6pm. Tomorrow I'll go shopping for the big goods: fridge, washer, stove, drapes, vacuum, and an iron (my clothes are mighty wrinkly after nearly 2 weeks in a suitcase). I'm about to head down to the real estate agent's office to pick up measurements he took for me of the spaces where the appliances go (and the windows, too), just to make sure I buy stuff that fits.

I'll be glad to get everything moved in and set up. I still won't have any furniture, but I bought cushions today to sit on the floor with for a few days (or weeks) until I sort out the whole furniture thing. Who needs furniture anyways?
