Thursday News Clips

Not much seems to be in the news lately about Kosovo. There are stories about the potential entry into the World Bank, about Macedonia not withdrawing recognition, and that El Salvador is in the final processes of formally recognizing Kosovo. On Tuesday, there was a bomb threat at "the White House" in Prizren (the municipal headquarters that houses the mayor and other official offices, aka, shtepia e bardhe in Albanian). It's about a block away from my apartment, and there's been quite a bit in the Kosovar news about the actions of the police in terms of the time taken to enter the building and their refusal to let KFOR go in immediately and sweep for a bomb. Regardless, I'm glad it just turned out to be an empty threat by a disgruntled woman.
