Nobody's Business but the Turks

Tomorrow I am jumping out of Kosovo and heading to Istanbul. Sigh. I can't wait. I've signed up for a cooking class; scoped out shopping malls; and printed directions on how to get to the contemporary art museum. Of course, this trip isn't going to be all shop, shop, shop; cook, cook, cook; and art, art, art. I'm hoping to get my hair cut, too. Heh. I am interested in doing the tourist line: Tokapki Palace, the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, the Spice Bazaar, the Hippodrome...all that good stuff. However, I did most of that my first trip to Turkey three years ago. Anyways, shopping & cooking & art doesn't sound like such a bad vacation, now does it?

I may even be able to avoid the 25 Euro cab ride out to Pristina airport. My colleague says that there's a bus that goes within 1/4 mile of the airport that will set me back about 50 cents. I don't mind walking 10 minutes to save 24 Euros. (Taxis to the airport are a supreme ripoff both in Pristina and in Skopje.) Granted, it'll take a bit longer to get out there, but I have plenty of time since my flight doesn't leave until 3-something.
