Earlier this afternoon I decided to walk around the grounds of Hiroshima Castle. As I was standing on the outer perimeter, staring down into the moat, I saw this big ol' carp just floating around by himself.

When I was little, I used to have a baseball cap of Hiroshima carp...
And I am just thinking that the poor carp must be freezing!
I'm hoping to get over to Zoom Zoom stadium in the spring to catch my first Carp game. There's an Indian restaurant near Hiroshima station that does special bentos during the games specifically for fans to take to the stadium. I'm sure other restaurants do it, too, but the idea of eating a great curry during a game really appeals to me.
