DIY Hedbanz Cards

I just spent the last hour laminating and cutting up cards my students made yesterday to play Hedbanz with (a game in which players draw a card that they don't look at and they must guess, by asking questions, who or what they are). My students are much better artists than I am.
This is my Friday entry for this week's edition of Show Me Japan. Yep. This is my Japan. It's good to know, though, that I can be a laminating and cutting fool anywhere.

Cuuuuuuuute! That baseball card is especially adorable!
Sounds like a fun game - will have to try it sometime in English club. (Sucker that I am, I already drew two sets of 60 odd cards for a similar game myself. Darnit, should have made them do it!)

And the laziest of them all just bought a bunch of picture cards while vacationing in Malaysia. LOL! :-)

So cute!! And what a nice idea to have them draw the pictures themselves! :)

Having students draw their own cards was a great idea because they choose vocabulary that is about at the right level. As I do this with more and less advanced students, I'll elicit a wider swath of vocab words. Fun! Fun! Fun! (Plus, many of my students have good drawing skills, which I love to see!)
