I have a new favorite place name.
For years and years and years, if someone would say to me, "Hey, Kirsten, what's your favorite place name?" Spuzzum, BC would be my answer. Today, I went some place new (you see, I have to actually have been to a place for it to qualify for my favorite place name).
Today I went to Astrozub.
Isn't that a great name for a town? It's about 10 km outside of Rahovec. I hopped on a bus before the sun rose this morning to travel out there to observe one of my students doing her teaching practise at the local elementary school. It took me about two hours to get there (I was on the Prizren-Rahovec-Malishevo-Pristina route) and there was a 25-minute stop in Rahovec, which was nice because I found a little bakery and bought myself a cheese roll for breakfast. Coming back was much quicker. The ride was about an hour.
But back to Astrozub. Astrozub. Astrozub. Astrozub. It resonates differently than Spuzzum. Spuzzum. Spuzzum. It's much fun to say nonetheless.
