First note: Sonya and I made it to Barcelona in one piece. Customs was a breeze (our passports were stamped in Frankfurt), and aside from the agonizing 9 hour flight out of Denver, travelling wasn´t too harsh. Today, our first full day, we walked and walked and walked, visiting the Picasso Museum and the Sagrada Famillia (Gaudi´s yet unfinished church). Tomorrow we have plans for further exploration and on Saturday we´ll be taking a cooking course.
Second note: Unfortunately, I can´t send picture emails from my phone (this means I´ll be going back to Verizon to ask for my money back because the whole reason I bought the phone I did was because I was told I could email photos from abroad). Bummer, eh? But I do promise to upload when I get home.
The best part of our trip so far? Not being irritated by the construction that sounds like it´s right outside our door (imagine being woken up by a jackhammer)...and not being irritated by drunks yelling outside our window at 3am (we are on the 3rd floor). I was super tired last night, and I think that´s why I was able to roll over and get back to sleep quickly. Tonight I will definitely be using the ear plugs!
