On the Kintai-Kyo Bridge

When this bridge was originally built, it was thought to be indestructible. Now, of course, we know that wasn't the case, but it sure did hold up for a long time (at least to me, a wooden bridge that stands over a river for nearly 300 years has been around for a long time). The bridge is strictly pedestrian only and has graded stairs on either side of each of its humps.

300 years wooden bridge - well, that's nothing o scoff at even though it was destroyed by a typhoon no less.

300yen to use it. So, it's now strictly for tourists use? Or you guys use it and pay for the privilege? XD
