Okonomiyaki is an occasional indulgence for me and Hiroshima has its very own regional variation. What sets Hiroshima okonomiyaki apart from okonomiyaki in the rest of Japan is the inclusion of yakisoba in the okonomiyaki pileup. Another great thing about Hiroshima okonomiyaki is that, usually, someone will cook it for you (most of the places I've been to in Tokyo are of the cook-it-yourself variety, which is fine, but I also like having someone to cook it for me). In mine, I requested the addition of kimchi, which I love. Love at first bite!
