This video was shot on the second morning of a 6-day backpacking trip into the Hoover & Emigrant Wilderness Areas of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, somewhat near Emigrant Pass. This particular loop trip began and ended at Leavitt Lake, which is accessible from CA Highway 108 (warning, though, if you want to drive into Leavitt Lake, the road is very definitely a 4WD only road...low clearance vehicles shouldn't even think about it). Fortunately, no rain fell and Skeena, Wild Dog of the Sierra, remained dry.
