I know, I know. You often sit back and wonder I wonder what it's like at 6 o'clock in the morning in Prizren, Kosovo. Luckily, I can ease your curiosity. First there are the mannequins gazing out from the closed shops. Most are in the stores, but the one above was hanging out in a planter in a parking lot. I've noticed that many of the mannequins show some type of damage. In the first photo below, the head on the right has a chipped nose, and the child in the second photo has a scratched face.
And then there's the trash. Garbage is constantly being left out, no matter the time of day. Although I support the idea of making used clothing available to whoever might have a use for it, I'm not convinced that dumping a box of the stuff out on a corner is the best way to do it.
At such an early hour, vendors haven't started to set up at the Green Market yet (this is where one can go to buy fruits and vegetables from local farmers and imported from Greece and Turkey. The sellers who set up shop at the market daily usually don't bother to pack up all of their unsold goods. In the case of the first photo, they might just throw a box over it. Better set up vendors will cover their fruits and veggies with a blanket or tarp and weight the whole thing down with empty crates.
Last, but not least, here's a photo of the mosque I'm waking up to at 4:15 am.
