Kirsten's Favorite Things About Budapest

Japanese Food

Where would my life be without Japanese cuisine? Fortunately, Budapest had good options. For dinner one night I headed to Arigato, where I enjoyed salmon sashimi on a bed of rice along with some dumplings. The salmon dish was terrific. I think the dumplings had been previously frozen because they were a bit mushy.

My second Japanese outing was to Momotaro Ramen. Although the noodles weren't like ramen-in-Japan-ramen-noodles, it was still pretty darned good...especially after a day of intensive walking.

The View from My Hotel Room

It wasn't cheap (but it wasn't super exorbitant, either). Regardless, the view from my room was nearly worth the trip in itself.

Kerepesi Cemetery
I like cemeteries. Often they're quiet, green, and offer wide avenues to stroll along. Kerepesi was no exception.

Graffiti
I appreciate a well-done sticker or an interesting piece of street art.

There. Those were the things I really, really, really enjoyed the most in Budapest.
