Istanbul from the Floor

I decided to try to document my trip to Istanbul in photos taken from the ground.

A definite 'hit,' the Blue Mosque is one of the must-see sites of Istanbul. It is a functioning mosque, and it is free to enter.

An evening view of the Mosque of the Suleyman

A row of taxis parked in front of the Hagia Sofia. It's 10 Euros to enter, but this is a highly, highly, highly reccommended stop.

Inside the Hagia Sofia, there weren't many tourists milling around. I bet this place is just packed in the summer.

It rained one day, so I spent the day inside a shopping mall doing a little grocery shopping and seeing a movie (Siberian Express...Ben Kingsley was fantastic, as usual, but the movie wasn't great).
Street-side trash.
The floor of a small cafe where I had a great bowl of ginger chicken soup with homemade spinach bread.

Waiting for the tram at Sultanahmet.

Waiting for my baggage in Pristina.
