Prizren, Kosovo to be exact. In September I'll be off to the Balkans for 10 months where I'll be instructing a few classes in the Faculty of Eduation at the University of Pristina and working with faculty to develop new courses; teaching one course to local high school students; and doing outreach work with the American Corner. The CIA Factbook page on Serbia has a map, which will give you a general idea of where Prizren and Kosovo are located. The Municipal Profile of Prizren makes for good skimming (especially if you're my Mom).
I'm working on reading as much as possible about Kosovo, Serbia, and the Balkans. My current reads are The Hemingway Book Club of Kosovo by Paula Huntley and The Fracture Zone: A Return to the Balkans by Simon Winchester. When I finish one (or both) of these I'll move on to Tim Judah's Kosovo: War and Revenge.
It will definitely be an eye-opening and challenging position.
