On Sunday I spent the afternoon at a cooking school learning how to make sushi rolls. Yes, it's easy, and, no, I probably didn't need to take a class to learn how to do it, but it was fun. We also learned how to make nikujaga, a type of beef stew. Plus, it was nice to meet other foreign women.
In volunteer news, I'll be a photographer/journalist for this year's Design Festa vol. 24. My job will be to walk around and interview some of the foreign exhibitors. It's a great event, like a huge, frenetic convention/exhibition for artists. Design Festa happens twice yearly and it's an event I recommend highly to anyone in Tokyo during May & December.
